Dino de Queirós started the match with the kick off. Rodriguinho Goiano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 10th minute, Erik Sanches ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abel Falcão was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. The supporters of Mundial FC booed when Porto Seguro F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jairo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Soares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladislav Samsonov made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Jairo Zonta sent off a good shot on target. Porto Seguro F.C's Abel Falcão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Soares in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute Erik Sanches shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abel Falcão saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Erik Sanches managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundial FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Sanches was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abel Falcão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Abel Falcão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Soares in the 42nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Porto Seguro F.C's zone, Osvaldo Soares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Falcão came out of the goal and Osvaldo Soares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Porto Seguro F.C defense, Erik Sanches kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abel Falcão. The Porto Seguro F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abel Falcão should have stopped the shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Soares to make the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Mundial FC's Erik Sanches slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Abel Falcão. That made the score 0-4 after 51 minutes of play. Osvaldo Soares in the 56thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abel Falcão, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Vladislav Samsonov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from João Pedro de Amorim in the 62nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erik Sanches in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abel Falcão saved Porto Seguro F.C from getting behind. 71 minutes into the game, Rodriguinho Goiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Vladislav Samsonov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Osvaldo Soares came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Mundial FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Soares couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Erik Sanches took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Abel Falcão to make any attempt to save it. João Pedro de Amorim scored 2-5 in the 84th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vladislav Samsonov, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Abel Falcão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Erik Sanches's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute.
