After a defensive mix-up in Demux - FSCMZ's zone, Ulisses Eger stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Branco came out of the goal and Ulisses Eger tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cacá Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Horácio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cacá Loyola in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Horácio Branco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cacá Loyola's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Alan Castro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ciro Santana. Ciro Santana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cacá Loyola was the one to do the kick off. Horácio Branco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jean Toscano in the 52nd minute of play. Pedro Tasso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Santana having to interfere. Ciro Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tasso in the 57th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Triumfo's Cacá Loyola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Horácio Branco. That made the score 2-3 after 61 minutes of play. Jean Toscano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Santana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Tasso in the 71st minute of play. The tension between the Triumfo and the Demux - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Demux - FSCMZ booed when Triumfo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Eger didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute Cacá Loyola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horácio Branco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jean Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Horácio Branco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Triumfo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
