Demux - FSCMZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eugênio Favoretto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Horácio Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucian Halipa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donato de Toledo in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Branco saved Demux - FSCMZ from getting behind. In the 13thth minute of the game Eugênio Favoretto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Luís Sanches fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Demux - FSCMZ's protests and gave Luís Sanches a yellow card for diving instead. 14 minutes into the game, one of Demux - FSCMZ:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 17th minute there was a penalty for Amapa. Donato de Toledo stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Horácio Branco. 0-2. If Lucian Halipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Demux - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Luís Sanches hit a great ball. After 28 played minutes, Amapa's Humberto Neves shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horácio Branco came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Amapa reached it. 32 minutes into the match, Demux - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Donato de Toledo came free, but Horácio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Demux - FSCMZ's zone, Donato de Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horácio Branco came out of the goal and Donato de Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato de Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horácio Branco having to interfere. Horácio Branco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugênio Favoretto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Donato de Toledo was the one to do the kick off. When Edmílson Capixaba came up free with the goalie in the 50th minute, the Demux - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Capixaba couldn't finish the play. If Lucian Halipa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Donato de Toledo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 56th minute of the match, but Horácio Branco made a huge save. 58 minutes into the match, Demux - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Donato de Toledo came free, but Horácio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donato de Toledo in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Horácio Branco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61st minute of the match, Donato de Toledo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Horácio Branco saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Demux - FSCMZ from getting a goal against them. Horácio Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato de Toledo in the 70th minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Demux - FSCMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Eugênio Favoretto came free, but Horácio Branco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Donato de Toledo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Horácio Branco skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato de Toledo in the 80th minute of play. If Donato de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 88 minutes into the match, Lucian Halipa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Demux - FSCMZ's Horácio Branco. Horácio Branco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Donato de Toledo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Horácio Branco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Lucian Halipa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amapa's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucian Halipa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horácio Branco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amapa's Leandro Godoi suffered a concussion after 95 minutes and had to leave the field. Amapa's Cristian Marques was substituted for Leandro Godoi. A collision led to Demux - FSCMZ getting a freekick after 98 minutes play. Luís Sanches hit a great ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Amapa walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
