Spectators: 7487 (Terracing: 5616, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. William Toledo started the match with the kick off. 3 minutes into the game, Guga Almeida was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Númenor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Joanesia the free kick. The supporters of Joanesia booed when Númenor FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guga Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 6th minute, Dadá Paraíba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Daniel Guerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Saraiva, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Gualter Bittencourt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joel dos Santos was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. Joel dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from William Toledo, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. After 22 minutes, Róbson Pires mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Joanesia and the Númenor FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 22nd match minute, Joanesia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Róbson Pires to maneuver through the defense. Dadá Paraíba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Daniel Guerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Jorginho Mazza ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Daniel Guerra was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Bittencourt in the 35th minute of play forced Joanesia's goalkeeper Joel dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Joanesia's Róbson Pires got a free kick in the 36th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Númenor FC's Nilton Favoretto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Jorginho Mazza hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Joanesia's Joel dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by William Toledo in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Joanesia's zone, William Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joel dos Santos came out of the goal and William Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 44th minute of the match Filipe Arósio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Joel dos Santos skillfully saved the ball. Joel dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Gualter Bittencourt in the 53rd minute of play forced Joanesia's goalkeeper Joel dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gualter Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Joanesia got a freekick which was hit by Dário Dracena. 59 minutes into the game, Gualter Bittencourt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Joel dos Santos. Gualter Bittencourt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. In the 64th minute of the match, Gualter Bittencourt tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Joel dos Santos saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Joanesia's Joel dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gualter Bittencourt in the 69th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Númenor FC's William Toledo got a free kick in the 70th minute. Daniel Guerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Durval Saraiva in the 71st minute of the match. After 76 played minutes Joanesia got a freekick which was hit by Jorginho Mazza. Armandinho Matorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Guga Almeida struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Joel dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Númenor FC. 93 minutes into the match, Joanesia's goalkeeper Joel dos Santos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by William Toledo. Gualter Bittencourt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Joel dos Santos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Guga Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot. Númenor FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Guga Almeida was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joel dos Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Joanesia's Joel dos Santos got control of the ball when Gualter Bittencourt tried to sneak it across the goal line.
