After a rather tough play, Mendoza AFC's Albino Joseph got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Romulo Oihenarte hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Horacio Suero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Generoso Birjaio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sebastian Benvido, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. In the 14th minute, Horacio Suero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patricio Gonza kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Mendoza AFC! In the 21st minute there was a penalty for Petronila AFC. Gustavo Furman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Paulo Beturian. 1-0. Petronila AFC's Generoso Birjaio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastian Benvido in the 30th minute of play. Sebastian Benvido received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Generoso Birjaio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute, Horacio Suero got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Sebastian Benvido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Generoso Birjaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horacio Suero in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Petronila AFC's zone, Horacio Suero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Birjaio came out of the goal and Horacio Suero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Horacio Suero came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Mendoza AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horacio Suero couldn't finish the play. Fermin Medardo kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Paulo Beturian was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patricio Gonza showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Benvido to make the kick off. If Horacio Suero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romulo Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Beturian having to interfere. Patricio Gonza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Oihenarte in the 66th minute of play forced Mendoza AFC's goalkeeper Paulo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Generoso Birjaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sebastian Benvido in the 68th minute of play. Paulo Beturian showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Romulo Oihenarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Romulo Oihenarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Beturian having to interfere. Paulo Beturian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Patricio Gonza, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Romulo Oihenarte in the 85th minute of play forced Mendoza AFC's goalkeeper Paulo Beturian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Beturian made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romulo Oihenarte in the 88th minute of play. Paulo Beturian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patricio Gonza in the 89th minute of the match. The supporters of Petronila AFC booed when Mendoza AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fermin Medardo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
