Petronila AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Arnaldo Barbosa was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After a rather tough play, Petronila AFC's Pastor Sayvion got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 16th minute of the match Matias Isidor shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Generoso Birjaio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Arnaldo Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Pastor Sayvion during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clemente Calixto was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 27th minute. Petronila AFC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Clemente Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sarmiento FC's Clemente Sanduru proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Sarmiento FC from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes Sarmiento FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Dantel. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarmiento FC's goalkeeper Clemente Sanduru, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Clemente Calixto kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Clemente Sanduru. That made the score 1-1 in the 36 minute of play. In the 40thth minute of the game Clemente Calixto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sarmiento FC's Clemente Sanduru was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clemente Sanduru didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Astor Lorien went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Clemente Calixto made the kick off in the second half. When Arnaldo Barbosa fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sarmiento FC's protests and gave Arnaldo Barbosa a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sarmiento FC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Arnaldo Barbosa hit a great ball. When Froilan Sanchez fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. In the 59th match minute, Petronila AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Gonza to maneuver through the defense. Astor Lorien recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clemente Calixto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Clemente Sanduru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Petronila AFC booed when Sarmiento FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Clodoveo Sedeni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Clemente Calixto blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Clemente Sanduru having to make a save. Generoso Birjaio didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 77th minute, which inside left pole to 2-2. Fausto Florinio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Generoso Birjaio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Sarmiento FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
