Domingo Cristos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Generoso Birjaio having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Petronila AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Domingo Cristos came free, but Generoso Birjaio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Humberto Ofelio during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The audience was convinced that Clemente Calixto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Astor Filipo was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. After having played for 93 minutes, Astor Lorien managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Petronila AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Astor Lorien was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Clemente Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Petronila AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
