The supporters of El Equipo de Ferne booed when Club Atlético Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Elmar van de Meerakker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erubiel Baraquiel in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the El Equipo de Ferne defense, Petruț Spirache kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eustacio Ereinotz. The El Equipo de Ferne fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eustacio Ereinotz should have stopped the shot. In the 13th minute, Erubiel Baraquiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 25 played minutes El Equipo de Ferne got a freekick which was hit by Benito Amaya. In the 26th minute, Julian Guifre fired a really elegant long shot, but Eustacio Ereinotz threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. Eustacio Ereinotz was a little too slow when Petruț Spirache got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Eustacio Ereinotz was out of position in the 30 minute of play, and Petruț Spirache capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Petruț Spirache really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. Nestor Barrionuevo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. Eustacio Ereinotz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sixto Godoy, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When Petruț Spirache came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Club Atlético Lanús fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Petruț Spirache couldn't finish the play. Petruț Spirache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. El Equipo de Ferne's Eustacio Ereinotz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sixto Godoy in the 46th minute of play. Petruț Spirache fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eustacio Ereinotz having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nunez Casado to make the kick off. El Equipo de Ferne's Nunez Casado got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Club Atlético Lanús getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Cirilo Loreto hit a great ball. During the 55th minute of the match Cirilo Loreto completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Cirilo Loreto a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Erubiel Oinaz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 57th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elmar van de Meerakker. Club Atlético Lanús's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With an all-out effort, El Equipo de Ferne's Elmar van de Meerakker threw himself towards the right post 62 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Nunez Casado, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fabricio Lain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in El Equipo de Ferne's zone, Fabricio Lain stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eustacio Ereinotz came out of the goal and Fabricio Lain tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amadeo Chan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, El Equipo de Ferne's Nunez Casado ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elmar van de Meerakker. Elmar van de Meerakker yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. 91 minutes into the game, Petruț Spirache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Eustacio Ereinotz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Club Atlético Lanús's Elmar van de Meerakker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 97th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Lanús from getting a goal against them. For all the effort they put into the match, the El Equipo de Ferne players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlético Lanús.
