Adrian Rocio was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Petruț Spirache showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 12 minute of play. Alejandro Cerrato hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute Orlando Rencio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elmar van de Meerakker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Eustaquio Garoa fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Escaya's protests and gave Eustaquio Garoa a yellow card for diving instead. Eustaquio Garoa kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Petruț Spirache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Adrian Rocio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, Escaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Garoa to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlético Lanús's Pablo Ado couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Escaya. After 26 minutes of play Escaya's Eustaquio Garoa was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 27th match minute, Escaya was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustaquio Garoa to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Nevada kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of Escaya booed when Club Atlético Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Octavio Gabon didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Petruț Spirache's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adrian Rocio was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

51 minutes into the game, Petruț Spirache cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Adrian Rocio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 55 minutes into the match, Sixto Godoy notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Escaya's Adrian Rocio. Adrian Rocio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petruț Spirache blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrian Rocio having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Madeo got free with Elmar van de Meerakker in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Club Atlético Lanús's Petruț Spirache in the 71st minute got a chance for a shot 71st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Escaya's goalie prevented a goal. In the 72nd minute, Fabricio Lain made a precise shot to the right of Adrian Rocio. Escaya's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Petruț Spirache took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Adrian Rocio. Adrian Rocio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. Petruț Spirache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adrian Rocio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gualterio Madeo got free with Elmar van de Meerakker in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Orlando Rencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gualterio Madeo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elmar van de Meerakker having to interfere. If Amadeo Chan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Escaya's goal looked a bit too open when Petruț Spirache came free, but Adrian Rocio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Casimiro Calvet kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
