With a little luck, La Banda del Vaitton's Tiburcio Feliu got control of the ball when Joel Caradaro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maximo Panpili hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. La Banda del Vaitton's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Reynaldo Ceandro in the 55th minute. Reynaldo Ceandro made a great header on La Banda del Vaitton's corner, it was just that Los Jibaros's Anastasio Estevon managed to reach the ball for a save. Tiburcio Feliu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Gombal, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. Los Jibaros's Joel Caradaro got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 59 minutes, Joel Caradaro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Los Jibaros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Caradaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Benigno Txanton blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Anastasio Estevon having to make a save. 66 minutes into the match, Aristides Gombal notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of La Banda del Vaitton's Tiburcio Feliu. Tiburcio Feliu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 70 minutes into the game, Los Jibaros's Amador Emmanuel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tiburcio Feliu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After a defensive mix-up in La Banda del Vaitton's zone, Maximo Panpili stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiburcio Feliu came out of the goal and Maximo Panpili tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tiburcio Feliu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amador Emmanuel in the 76th minute of the match. Aristides Gombal's late challenge caught a La Banda del Vaitton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aristides Gombal helped the player get up and apologised. If Amador Emmanuel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Mero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiburcio Feliu having to interfere. Tiburcio Feliu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amador Emmanuel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joel Caradaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Los Jibaros's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
