Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Declan MaCollin started the match with the kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Declan MaCollin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Trevor MaCollin. That made the score 1-0 in the 5 minute of play. Boddibevve Matthews took the ball and in the 12 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Trevor MaCollin. Trevor MaCollin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Boddibevve Matthews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Boddibevve Matthews put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Trevor MaCollin. If Declan MaCollin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Boddibevve Matthews could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Trevor MaCollin made a huge save. After having played for 29 minutes, Ryland Branson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Belgard Utd's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ryland Branson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 30 played minutes Belgard Utd got a freekick which was hit by Turlough Cronin. Trevor MaCollin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Declan MaCollin in the 36th minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Ballydaly's Boddibevve Matthews sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Trevor MaCollin narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Declan MaCollin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ballydaly's supporters rose to their feet, but Declan MaCollin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Trevor MaCollin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Trevor MaCollin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Declan MaCollin, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Declan MaCollin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Trevor MaCollin, 4-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

Boddibevve Matthews sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Beamard McLaughlin kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, Belgard Utd's goal looked a bit too open when Declan MaCollin came free, but Trevor MaCollin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 62nd minute Ryland Branson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bran Scully saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 played minutes Ballydaly got a freekick which was hit by Artuir Horgan. Belgard Utd's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Joseph McJohnny in the 66th minute. When Turlough Cronin fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Belgard Utd's protests and gave Turlough Cronin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ballydaly booed when Belgard Utd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Turlough Cronin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boddibevve Matthews recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80th minute, Declan MaCollin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 86 minutes of play Belgard Utd's Turlough Cronin was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 86 played minutes Belgard Utd got a freekick which was hit by Turlough Cronin. Trevor MaCollin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Boddibevve Matthews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Declan MaCollin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trevor MaCollin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trevor MaCollin came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Ballydaly's Declan MaCollin. But to his dismay, Declan MaCollin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Ballydaly were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Belgard Utd for a fine match.
