After 5 minutes, Zackary Maylett mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Centre of Excellence AFC and the RonnyFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. If Nicholas Ellis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denis Ruddock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zane Woodyat in the 17th minute of play. RonnyFC's Nicholas Ellis got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, RonnyFC's Nicholas Ellis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Zane Woodyat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Denis Ruddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Ruddock made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nicholas Ellis in the 34th minute. Denis Ruddock showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zane Woodyat, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Centre of Excellence AFC's Denis Ruddock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zane Woodyat in the 37th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Martin Greenfield hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. RonnyFC's Nicholas Ellis got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Centre of Excellence AFC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Theo Newby fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Nicholas Ellis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Ruddock having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zane Woodyat to strike the kick off in the second half. Theo Newby blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Denis Ruddock having to make a save. Nicholas Ellis spun around in front of the goal 55 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Centre of Excellence AFC's goal. Denis Ruddock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zane Woodyat in the 59th minute of play. If Theo Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Centre of Excellence AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nicholas Ellis came free, but Denis Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 66 minutes, Nicholas Ellis made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Centre of Excellence AFC's Denis Ruddock tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicholas Ellis in the 68th minute of play forced Centre of Excellence AFC's goalkeeper Denis Ruddock to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Centre of Excellence AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Zane Woodyat came free, but Denis Ruddock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denis Ruddock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicholas Ellis went, in the 72nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-0 was the resulting score. 75 minutes into the match, Nicholas Ellis notched a goal, 7-0, to the right of Centre of Excellence AFC's Denis Ruddock. Denis Ruddock was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Theo Newby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st minute, Nicholas Ellis made a precise shot to the right of Denis Ruddock. Centre of Excellence AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 83rd minute, Nicholas Ellis managed to get in a good position for a shot. RonnyFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Nicholas Ellis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Ruddock breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Centre of Excellence AFC's Zaq Ramsay got a free kick in the 84th minute. If Theo Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Zane Woodyat's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Denis Ruddock was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Nicholas Ellis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Denis Ruddock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denis Ruddock made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicholas Ellis in the 91st minute of play. In the 93rd minute Nicholas Ellis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Ruddock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Theo Newby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 98 minutes, Zane Woodyat managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. RonnyFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zane Woodyat was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Denis Ruddock didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nicholas Ellis went, in the 99th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. RonnyFC had played much better football throughout.
