With a little luck, TSV Brunn's Marko Jüptner got control of the ball when Toralf Bossert tried to sneak it across the goal line. 11 minutes into the match, Toralf Bossert notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of TSV Brunn's Marko Jüptner. Marko Jüptner was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 20 minutes, Hartwig Limberger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Graf Bernhard zur Lippe's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hartwig Limberger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A hard shot 23 in the game by Toralf Bossert from a close distance when the talented Marko Jüptner managed to make a qualified save. TSV Brunn's players were relieved. TSV Brunn's Marko Jüptner proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save TSV Brunn from getting a goal against them. After 32 played minutes Graf Bernhard zur Lippe got a freekick which was hit by Jean Brossart. In the 42nd minute, Patrick-Marc Waibel left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSV Brunn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Tihomir Lüpke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graf Bernhard zur Lippe's supporters rose to their feet, but Tihomir Lüpke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marko Jüptner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Graf Bernhard zur Lippe's Tihomir Lüpke got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tihomir Lüpke made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tihomir Lüpke in the 52nd minute of play forced TSV Brunn's goalkeeper Marko Jüptner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tihomir Lüpke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Patrick-Marc Waibel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Spörer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bradley Aulenbacher recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 68 played minutes Graf Bernhard zur Lippe got a freekick which was hit by Ilja Schaper. Tihomir Lüpke struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Marko Jüptner didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Graf Bernhard zur Lippe. Toralf Bossert sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 85th minute Toralf Bossert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Jüptner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Toralf Bossert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Tihomir Lüpke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Graf Bernhard zur Lippe's supporters rose to their feet, but Tihomir Lüpke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marko Jüptner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The TSV Brunn supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing TSV Brunn would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
