Sirius Deuerling started the match with the kick off. If Torsten Struck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the last second Hemmo Daus throw himself and got hold of the ball when Velten Base in the 7thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sirius Deuerling in the 9th minute of play forced TSV Brunn's goalkeeper Marko Jüptner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hans Behling fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marko Jüptner having to interfere. After 13 minutes of play, Tieg FC's Sirius Deuerling made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Marko Jüptner was left in no man's land by his defense there! Velten Base received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Hemmo Daus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tieg FC's Hans Behling suffered a sore thigh after 21 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Robert Schmidtmann fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSV Brunn's protests and gave Robert Schmidtmann a yellow card for diving instead. In the 22nd minute, Robert Schmidtmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Sirius Deuerling had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. TSV Brunn's Torsten Struck was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 31st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. After 39 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tieg FC! The goalkeeper, Hemmo Daus, was totally fooled by TSV Brunn's Robert Schmidtmann, who 41 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. The supporters of Tieg FC booed when TSV Brunn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Velten Base didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Velten Base to strike the kick off in the second half. Torsten Struck received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Hemmo Daus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hemmo Daus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Velten Base in the 60th minute of play. If Velten Base had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, Tieg FC's Ubbo Sitter seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Ubbo Sitter the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tieg FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Ubbo Sitter had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave TSV Brunn a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robert Schmidtmann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tieg FC's Hemmo Daus. 4-1. Velten Base's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hemmo Daus read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Torsten Struck in the 76th minute of play forced Tieg FC's goalkeeper Hemmo Daus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Velten Base in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hemmo Daus saved Tieg FC from getting behind. After 90 minutes, Falk Kilz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tieg FC and the TSV Brunn players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee gave TSV Brunn a penalty, 92 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Robert Schmidtmann, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tieg FC's Hemmo Daus. 5-1. In the 97th minute, Velten Base left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The TSV Brunn fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. Tieg FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
