Gianni Weischede recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute Axel Eberhardt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guido Spörer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toralf Bossert charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toralf Bossert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Weser Bremen's zone, Gianni Weischede stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Steffen Hitzler came out of the goal and Gianni Weischede tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Gianni Weischede came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Graf Bernhard zur Lippe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gianni Weischede couldn't finish the play. Axel Eberhardt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guido Spörer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, Graf Bernhard zur Lippe's Ilja Schaper got a free kick in the 95th minute.
