Gillis Degens came out and tried to block the shot, but Steffen Skouten slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 3rd minute. Alessandro Monta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristen Spoelberghe in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Wouter Gijselinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Monta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 9th minute, Jose Van Eyken ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alessandro Monta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 11 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goal looked a bit too open when Jose Van Eyken came free, but Alessandro Monta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alessandro Monta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yanick Winnepennincx in the 12th minute of the match. 13 minutes had been played when some careless play by Buitre SC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wouter Gijselinckx was slow to take the kick. During this time KFC Welden's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Wouter Gijselinckx got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alessandro Monta quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Alessandro Monta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kristen Spoelberghe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 19 minutes into the match, KFC Welden's goal looked a bit too open when Mattias de Pelsmaecker came free, but Gillis Degens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 20th minute, Wouter Gijselinckx made a precise shot to the right of Alessandro Monta. Buitre SC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 27 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goal looked a bit too open when Kristen Spoelberghe came free, but Alessandro Monta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 28th minute, Yanick Winnepennincx left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The KFC Welden fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Through an outstanding action, after 31 minutes, Gillis Degens successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 33rd minute of the game. One of KFC Welden:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Buitre SC:s goal. 37 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goal looked a bit too open when Wouter Gijselinckx came free, but Alessandro Monta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gillis Degens made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Steffen Skouten sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Buitre SC defense, Fernand De Spiegeleire kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alessandro Monta. The Buitre SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alessandro Monta should have stopped the shot. In the 43rd minute, Kristen Spoelberghe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Yanick Winnepennincx struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Alessandro Monta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KFC Welden. After the first half KFC Welden were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Steffen Skouten to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Wouter Gijselinckx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buitre SC's Alessandro Monta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nico Laureijs in the 52nd minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of KFC Welden booed when Buitre SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yelle Mathy didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 58th minute Steffen Skouten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gillis Degens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gillis Degens came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Buitre SC's Steffen Skouten. But to his dismay, Steffen Skouten quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Wouter Gijselinckx took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alessandro Monta. Alessandro Monta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-5. Alessandro Monta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jose Van Eyken in the 69th minute of the match. Buitre SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 72nd minute, when Wouter Gijselinckx scored to the left of an out of position Alessandro Monta, making the score, 2-6. 76 minutes into the match, Buitre SC's goalkeeper Alessandro Monta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yanick Winnepennincx. In the 80th minute Wouter Gijselinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessandro Monta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Steffen Skouten fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Buitre SC's protests and gave Steffen Skouten a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mattias de Pelsmaecker in the 86th minute of play forced KFC Welden's goalkeeper Gillis Degens to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 90th minute, KFC Welden's Wouter Gijselinckx ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alessandro Monta. Alessandro Monta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-8. Wouter Gijselinckx was extremely unlucky when he, in the 95th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out.
