Spectators: 8070 (Terracing: 6054, Seating: 1856, VIP seats: 160) Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Gertjan Van Boxstael started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gertjan Van Boxstael during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Buitre SC's Matias De Pauw ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Wesley De Wever. Wesley De Wever yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Mathieu Meijers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 7th minute of the match, but Wesley De Wever made a huge save. The supporters of Buitre SC booed when Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernst Herinckx didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley De Wever showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mattias de Pelsmaecker in the 21st minute of the match. After 22 minutes, Greg Van Riel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin and the Buitre SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Greg Van Riel got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 26th minute, Renaud Van Achteren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 28 minutes into the game, Buitre SC's Mathieu Meijers nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wesley De Wever made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Bastiaan Callens took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernst Herinckx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 34 minutes into the game, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Gertjan Van Boxstael nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bastiaan Callens made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. The throw-in from Tjorven Ingelborgs in the 41st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Ernst Herinckx. After having played for 45 minutes, Ernst Herinckx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernst Herinckx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 47th minute, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Mathieu Meijers fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mathieu Meijers was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mathieu Meijers in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wesley De Wever saved Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin from getting behind. After 58 played minutes Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin got a freekick which was hit by Augustijn Jenken. Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's Wesley De Wever played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias De Pauw in the 59th minute of play. Wesley De Wever came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Buitre SC's Mattias de Pelsmaecker. But to his dismay, Mattias de Pelsmaecker quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. 70 minutes into the match, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goal looked a bit too open when Mathieu Meijers came free, but Wesley De Wever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Tibau Van dooren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 75 minutes into the match, Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin's goal looked a bit too open when Evert Goddez came free, but Wesley De Wever reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Buitre SC fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Buitre SC's Mathieu Meijers looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Wesley De Wever made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Goddez in the 79th minute of play. A collision led to Buitre SC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Matthieu Van den Paenhuysen hit a great ball. Oliver Dejonckheere struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Bastiaan Callens didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vlaamse Voetbal Verenigin. Renaud Van Achteren kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. If Oliver Dejonckheere had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Buitre SC's Mathieu Meijers got a free kick in the 95th minute. When the referee ended the match the Buitre SC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
