The crowd rose to their feet as Mattias de Pelsmaecker kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antonio Vermeulen. That made the score 3-1 in the 37 minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 40 minutes, Antonio Vermeulen successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Bastiaan Callens made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teun Van Hemel in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in SC Montzen's zone, Evert Goddez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Vermeulen came out of the goal and Evert Goddez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Antonio Vermeulen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mattias de Pelsmaecker in the 47th minute of play. The supporters of Buitre SC booed when SC Montzen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joonatan Stuijckens didn't get a good kick on the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

A sloppy throw-in by Jorge Engelborghs in the 93rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Buitre SC's Isaac Weets.
