Engjëll Kllogjëri was a little too slow when Danell Mackiathan got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. In the 37th minute, Danell Mackiathan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 39th minute Mehat Kovaçi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hannan Hamdani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Albania getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Nertil Ramos hit a great ball. A hard shot by Ayalon Shem from long distance, 47 minutes into the match, got Engjëll Kllogjëri's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The supporters of Israel booed when Albania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paolo Mut didn't get a good kick on the ball. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
