Seating: 3316, VIP seats: 288) Muhammed Abubakar started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. If Okoli Kipkorir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okoli Kipkorir in the 5th minute of play forced U21 Tunisia's goalkeeper Hatem El Hadj Kacem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 10th minute, Jose Bensedrine managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Tunisia's supporters rose to their feet, but Jose Bensedrine was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. John Osomo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Tunisia's Brahim Sélim Haj Ali quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Adigun Olatokunbo, made in the 13th minute of the game. Moncef BenAmor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 16th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for John Osomo. U21 Nigeria's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Sadok Sfar kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Hatem El Hadj Kacem showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Achebe Aguele, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 29th minute Jose Bensedrine shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but John Osomo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dahiru Fadason's late challenge caught a U21 Tunisia's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The U21 Nigeria players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
