Baal Ares hit a great ball. John Osomo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baal Ares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. U21 Romania's Baal Ares got a good chance for a goal in the 8th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adigun Olatokunbo made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Romania's Andrei Marioara. When U21 Romania's Eric Cotoi in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Nigeria's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Baal Ares in the 13th minute of play forced U21 Nigeria's goalkeeper John Osomo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. U21 Nigeria's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baal Ares in the 17th minute of play. John Osomo came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by U21 Romania's Baal Ares. But to his dismay, Baal Ares quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Baal Ares kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. The supporters of U21 Nigeria booed when U21 Romania was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baal Ares didn't get a good kick on the ball. 29 minutes into the match, U21 Nigeria's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Ares came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Nigeria's John Osomo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baal Ares in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, U21 Nigeria's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Ares came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in U21 Nigeria's zone, Baal Ares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. John Osomo came out of the goal and Baal Ares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Baal Ares who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Nigeria's John Osomo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Baal Ares in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg John Osomo saved U21 Nigeria from getting behind. Baal Ares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, U21 Nigeria's Achebe Aguele got a free kick in the 41st minute. U21 Romania's Baal Ares got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baal Ares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 47 minutes into the match, U21 Nigeria's goal looked a bit too open when Baal Ares came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The supporters of U21 Romania booed when U21 Nigeria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adigun Olatokunbo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Baal Ares might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Osomo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baal Ares ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice moves Baal Ares could shoot a difficult shot in the 55th minute, which John Osomo however easily saved by the left post. With a little luck, U21 Nigeria's John Osomo got control of the ball when Baal Ares tried to sneak it across the goal line. John Osomo was out of position in the 59 minute of play, and Baal Ares capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baal Ares really showed his touch with that goal: 0-2. U21 Romania made a substitution. Vintilă Bădulescu replaced Baal Ares. 64 minutes into the match, U21 Nigeria's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Orbán came free, but John Osomo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. John Osomo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Orbán in the 65th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Viktor Orbán's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but John Osomo was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 68th minute U21 Romania were awarded a corner. Ion Ţiriac went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led U21 Romania's Ion Ţiriac to fire away a dangerous shot which John Osomo despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. U21 Nigeria's defense didn't have a chance, in the 71st minute, when Viktor Orbán scored to the left of an out of position John Osomo, making the score, 0-3. Vintilă Lipoveanu hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. U21 Romania's Doru Barna was substituted for Eric Cotoi. In the 84th minute, U21 Romania's Andrei Marioara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind John Osomo. John Osomo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Viktor Orbán received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. John Osomo came out and tried to block the shot, but Viktor Orbán slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 88th minute. When the final whistle sounded U21 Romania left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than U21 Nigeria.
