In the 15th minute of the match U21 Belgium got a corner. U21 Turkey's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lex Nelis ran over to the corner to take the kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Kindt in the 17th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mert Günok saved U21 Turkey from getting behind. Mert Günok made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simon Kindt in the 21st minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Seyfullah Ağırtaş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but U21 Belgium's Jeremie Van Nel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 28th minute, Seyfullah Ağırtaş reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jeremie Van Nel. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simon Kindt in the 34th minute of play forced U21 Turkey's goalkeeper Mert Günok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The wind increased when Simon Kindt made the kick off in the second half. U21 Turkey's Mehmet Poyraz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Charlie Vercalsteren in the 54 minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Simon Kindt managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Belgium's supporters rose to their feet, but Simon Kindt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mert Günok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacá O'Broin's late challenge caught a U21 Turkey's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cacá O'Broin helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes U21 Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Cacá O'Broin. Jeremie Van Nel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Seyfullah Ağırtaş in the 61st minute of the match. U21 Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Batu Cem Topay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Ken Weynants kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. With a little luck, U21 Turkey's Mert Günok got control of the ball when Remy Verheijt tried to sneak it across the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. U21 Turkey had played much better football throughout.
