Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rio Sinuhaji started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brama Witarsa got free with Ari Alexander in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Brama Witarsa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ari Alexander made a huge save. Ramli Gibran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rio Sinuhaji in the 17th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rio Sinuhaji in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramli Gibran saved U21 Indonesia from getting behind. In the 19th minute of the match U21 Malaysia got a corner. U21 Indonesia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Heri Bangun ran over to the corner to take the kick. Heri Bangun made a great header on U21 Malaysia's corner, it was just that U21 Indonesia's Ramli Gibran managed to reach the ball for a save. U21 Malaysia's supporters rose to their feet, but Mulyana Romatua was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ramli Gibran breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. U21 Indonesia's Roman Yudhoyono got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mulyana Romatua received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ramli Gibran tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Eet Djorghi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ramli Gibran acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 97th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Heri Bangun.
