The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

U21 Brazil made a substitution. Luís Fernando Linares replaced Léo Tavares. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomé Costa to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the game, Tomé Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Brazil's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Philippines the free kick. 53 minutes into the match, U21 Brazil's goalkeeper Vicente Xavier had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Elyboy Lagbas. But to his dismay, Breno Ferraz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. U21 Philippines's Gilbert Ralutin was substituted for Jasper Dorlas. In the 76th minute Tomé Costa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pogi Ganaden saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pogi Ganaden took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomé Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 78 played minutes U21 Philippines got a freekick which was hit by Nelson Mabanag. If Ricardo Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. Tomé Costa took the ball and in the 93 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pogi Ganaden. Pogi Ganaden dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. When Nelson Mabanag fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. U21 Brazil walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
