Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Valentin Fère took the kick off in the first half of the match. Valentin Fère blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Raffique James Boodhoo having to make a save. 6 minutes into the match, U21 France's goal looked a bit too open when Austin Eve came free, but Rodrigue Jorge reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Raffique James Boodhoo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valentin Fère in the 9th minute of play. Étienne Gentric might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Raffique James Boodhoo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Étienne Gentric ran back to his position shaking his head. 14 minutes into the game, Felix Dumoulin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 France's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Trinidad & Tobago the free kick. After 14 played minutes U21 France got a freekick which was hit by Felix Dumoulin. The U21 France fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when U21 France's Valentin Fère looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Valentin Fère struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Raffique James Boodhoo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for U21 France. Guy Sauer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Raffique James Boodhoo made a huge save. Valentin Fère sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 33rd minute Austin Eve shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodrigue Jorge saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Guy Sauer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Austin Eve during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Austin Eve hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Étienne Gentric came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Raffique James Boodhoo could save by the left post. Valentin Fère had several of the U21 Trinidad & Tobago's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 42 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Raffique James Boodhoo as he didn't even see the shot coming. Raffique James Boodhoo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valentin Fère went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Austin Eve to make the kick off. Raffique James Boodhoo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valentin Fère in the 55th minute of play. A well-hit corner resulted in Jean-Marc Desgranges heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dwight Khan during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to U21 Trinidad & Tobago getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Dwight Khan hit a great ball. After having played for 75 minutes, Valentin Fère managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. U21 France's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valentin Fère was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When U21 France's Valentin Fère in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Raffique James Boodhoo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valentin Fère, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. After a rather tough play, U21 Trinidad & Tobago's Lionel Jeffers got a free kick in the 90th minute. In the 93rd minute Valentin Fère shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raffique James Boodhoo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. U21 France's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
