Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Diego Armando Druganski got the match started through his kick off. Efrain Coreas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Armando Druganski in the 3rd minute of play. 5 minutes into the match, Diego Armando Druganski had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Efrain Coreas. El Salvador's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Diego Armando Druganski was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 7th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodolfo Zelaya to maneuver through the defense. Chile's Gianluigi Donnarumma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Pacheco in the 9th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 16 minutes, Gianluigi Donnarumma successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Gianluigi Donnarumma was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Baltazar Pacheco capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Baltazar Pacheco really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Mohamed Salvador got a free kick in the 20th minute. 22 minutes into the match, Chile's Diego Armando Druganski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Efrain Coreas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Chile's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Rolando Zelaya in the 23rd minute. The corner went over the outstretched arms of El Salvador's goalie and right to Diego Armando Druganski. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. El Salvador's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Diego Armando Druganski took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Efrain Coreas. Efrain Coreas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Diego Armando Druganski in the 29th minute of play forced El Salvador's goalkeeper Efrain Coreas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Efrain Coreas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolando Zelaya in the 34th minute of play. In the 34th minute, Rolando Zelaya made a precise shot to the right of Efrain Coreas. El Salvador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Gianluigi Donnarumma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodolfo Zelaya in the 37th minute. 40 minutes in the game Edgardo Sandoval did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Rodolfo Zelaya. Ramon Bustamante received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Gianluigi Donnarumma tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Chile were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Baltazar Pacheco to strike the kick off in the second half. El Salvador:s Efrain Coreas showed great skill when he stopped Rolando Zelaya:s penalty. In the 58th minute, Rolando Zelaya left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chile fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. After 64 minutes of play, El Salvador's Rodolfo Zelaya made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gianluigi Donnarumma was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chile's Horacio Panzer was substituted for Jose Esteban Rajcevich. Chile made a substitution. Don Luis replaced Diego Armando Druganski. The crowd rose to their feet as Chile's Don Luis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Efrain Coreas. That made the score 2-5 after 69 minutes of play. When Chile's Don Luis in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Salvador's goalie prevented a goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Josue Fornos in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gianluigi Donnarumma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 80th minute of the match El Salvador got a corner. Chile's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jonathan Barrios ran over to the corner to take the kick. El Salvador's Mohamed Salvador was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Gianluigi Donnarumma in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gianluigi Donnarumma came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by El Salvador's Mohamed Salvador. But to his dismay, Mohamed Salvador quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-5. Efrain Coreas stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Don Luis's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Don Luis put it in 3-6 from a short distance just to the right of Efrain Coreas. Efrain Coreas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Don Luis in the 89th minute. Don Luis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Don Luis took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Efrain Coreas. Efrain Coreas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-7. Although El Salvador had been in control for most of the match, Chile still came away with the win.
