Only have one team and I dont understand how people can support multiple teams, how do you get to the games? If you dont go to the games you are not a supporter!!!

Who said anything about divided "support" though? I suspect with all of us it's the choice of domestic team (from Premier League or other English league) that we support. But does that mean we shouldn't have favourite teams from around the world? If we do, we're not such loyal supporters of our domestic team? Sounds a bit silly to me.

Re: Your favourite teams

My local team wouldn't accept me as a supporter and then my next local team just got relegated and none of my friends would go to me to the games(and I'm not goin' all the way to Hamilton with no friends to watch a terrible team get beat and the fans to go off booin' ). And Celtic, well it only makes sense to support them seein' as everyone in my whole family (on both sides) supports them up to my great grandad... Not to mention they are appealin' and have fantastical supporters and it's a joy to watch them play. Supporting any other team apart from Celtic and Everton wouldn't make any sense to me :S - Although, I do like and sympathize and may watch the other teams in the division etc. but my top and only two teams to watch are Celtic and Everton!

You are just upset that United is below Chelsea. Like almost relegation way below. Mourinho is a spy in disguise.

Nice try, but fail. I'm more upset that Brann lost to Rosenborg last weekend, so instead of being one point ahead, they're now five behind with three games left to play.

I dunno, there doesn't seem to be anything to dislike about Rosenborg. They are your most popular team in the country, great achievements, great success... seems like a winner to me.
I also did not know that anybody watches the Eliteserien (apparently that's whats called).
Brann on the other side, I though you were talking about Old McDonald had a Barn.

Instead of getting offended by your trolling, I'll rather answer your statements.
Well that's probably because you know nothing about the league. And that's fair as it isn't one of the major European Leagues. They've got the highest average attendance, but everyone else than their own fans obviously dislike them.
This might be a revelation to you, but it's pretty normal that people watch the national league of their country. Maybe a bit weird to you as the the best teams in your nation don't have their own league.
Brann actually means "Fire". Barn and Brann? I'll not bully you for being dyslexic.

You read my post with your serious guy/gal glasses on. Take them off and put on your fun glasses on, if you have any. Then re read my post. Jeez man, is it a bad day or something?
manekaster wrote:Maybe a bit weird to you as the the best teams in your nation don't have their own league.
Haha, love the comeback. I would go on, to keep the spirit alive, but enough offended in one day.
On a serious note, they are talking about having a top league in Canada and bringing the teams back. Cant wait for this to happen. Hopefully its calles something more catchy then "Eliteserien". Just kidding, I couldnt resist.

Also, on topic I know of Rosenborg from my youth days while playing Fifa. I think I might have seen them occasionally in the Uefa Cups too. I dont recall Brunn, but maybe I have seen them and forgot about it. I am sure they are a great team too.

I don’t know if you were born at that time, but do you remember the European Championship in 2004? If not, I’m here to drop a hint. The winning country starts with “G” and ends with “reece”.

Nah, I actually said that I knew you were trolling, but when talking about our domestic football to foreigners I tend to get serious. A small league which doesn't draw any attention outside of Norway, except from sport betters as games are played when the big leagues have their summer break.
Bad day? Not at all. I just got home from another Brann game, which they won 3-1. So I'm as happy as a clam at high water.
Banter and jokes are fun, and I like it too, but not when one is doing it all the time. Then one will end up with not being taken serious at all. Balance, mate.
But back to the discussion. I didn't know about what you're saying about establishing a professional league. I had too google the CSL. If you wonder - I guess you don't, but I'll tell you anyway - what Eliteserien means, it's actually elite series. A quite obvious translation. But I gotta agree with you. The former name of the league, Tippeligaen, was much better as the name translates to betting league. And it's funny because it's true. The games are so difficult to predict that it's easier to win the top prize in a lottery.

Makes sense. Around 2000 they regularly played in the Champions League, beating teams like Milan and Borussia Dortmund. Now they're in the Red Bull group in the Europa League. Brann got knocked out in the 2nd qualifying stage last season agaist a Slovakian team called Ružomberok (I know, wtf..), which translates to Rosenberg. Coincidence? I don't think so..
