How important is the stamina

We see over and over again that older players lose at endurance pucks. Even though they are at Power 9 to 10. How does it generally look when the player then only has 5 stamina. What are your experiences..

From my interpretation, Low stamina means that players start playing like they have less pucks then they usually do later in the game. For example, using your example, a 10 power player might start playing like a 5 power player during the second half of the game. Attackers with 10 shooting play like 5 shooting, Defenders same thing.

During the final period in my games where I had a stamina disadvantage, my team doesn't do as many shots, concedes more goals and then enemies have more opportunities.

I see that the same way, especially since in the third no matter how high the power is quickly tire. Therefore, I also think that endurance is still one of the most important skills and remains. Thank you for your answer.😊😉

I don't have that feeling, I can't see any break-in by the players later in the game. Was champion with 6stamina player and the same was also the top scorer. Maybe that is the case with 5 or 4 stamina, but I cannot confirm that

Stick them to line 3/4, less game time but more effective in the squad

Endurance/stamina and speed are important skills. And the game shows us through the losses of the pucks from 30 or 33 years of age that these losses will mean something for the player and your team.
But is Endurance for example more important than power / shot or power / check? I don't think so and in the end you have to see the whole player or the whole team with all skills

I also see stamina as a skill that affects other skills at some point in the game. Also, when the lines changes, the most "rested" line will get on the ice, so if you would have a player with 5 stamina in a line where all others are 8-9, his low stamina would bring down that line's average with a risk that the line will have less shifts on the ice.
Another aspect is the time a line spends on the ice. It does happen that a line stays on ice for several minutes (even 7-8 minutes) and in that case if your player are low on stamina, their skills will be affected and if your rival has a better balance on that line, even if his players are less strong overall, in that certain circumstance his/her line might perform better and you might get a goal.
I don't have yet exprience with players with 5 stamina as my team is (still) young, but I do play with a player with 6 stamina in line 2. I think it's about overall balance of the team and line.

A good explanation. Maybe you should let the strong players play more together. And let the less good players play in the 3 and 4 rows. I think you should not play too aggressive in general. So that the team does not tire too much.
