How do YOU have FUN in MZ?
Do you manage a hockey and a football team? Do you play many cups? Leagues?
Do you enjoy training the players? Participating in World Leagues?

What makes it FUN for you??

Cool Discussion Awaits.

Only football. I play all free cups (for club members), all Uxx series and both World leagues. And in addition to that I organise a Norwegian Uxx Super leagues and 2nd tier for U18, U21 and U23. That makes me feel that I have important games every day. And of course everything get cheaper for club members, so I recommend you to become a CM.

The community is also important, but I participate just as much in the Swedish forum as in the English and Norwegian, as the two latter are almost “dead”.

Though I've got a hockey team, I don't actively manage them. I hardly use Power Tokens and I'm not a CM. MZ gives me the option to decide how much time I want to invest (based on how much money I invest). So one of the best ways to have fun here is to use this freedom. The community is definitely a big part in comparison to other football managers. MZ is becoming less attractive in countries with decreasing activity. Then though it can be goofy, the 3D view is indeed a great feature (probably because it gives me Power Soccer vibes). I'm currently less interested in winning league cups, because they're losing prestige (in low-activity countries). My goal is just to build an Off-Meta team.

And yes, with the new scouting reports it's more fun to train players for my purposes.
=)

Only football. I just returned to the game after over 10 years away. Looks pretty good.

I like training and have joined a few cups (although just starting it is more for the experience and adjust my tactics).

Previously the forum and zone were very good features not sure how active these are today.

I really like the 3D sim even though there are glitches - I like that you can see how your players and tactics interact during the game.

Cheers,
Steve

I'm here for more than 10 years.

It's only fun when you play cups

Also when you train players and see them go stronger a year after year that's fun too.

Yes, I have fun watching my players evolve and the U18 and U21 League motivates me a lot!

Do you usually sell players off when they reach a certain age or discard them...?

I built a homegrown team with no foreigners to prove that is possible to be competitive without using the market and ended up with really healthy finances, winning one MLS title, a bunch of Uxx cups and reaching finals of many cups.... it wasn't a complete success but it was fun, this season I had to abandon the project since my players deteriorated and had to buy players.

I've done the same now. As most of my players were 29 years old, bought in my first season, I wanted to make some money before they started deteriorating. I also had a couple of 29yo bought as cheap short term solutions to replace other 29 year-old players sold in previous seasons, as well as some 31yo+ players.

I realized that the only sustainable solution was to give the next generation a chance. I kept 3 loyal players (the youngest being 24) and 2 25yo players from my academy. The rest of my team is now U23, and 9 out of 11 players in my senior XI are homegrown players from my own academy. Of course it's harder to win the national league title when two of the teams are playing in the World League Top Series, but this season my aim is just to avoid relegation.

I always did this, but the last seasons i couldn't produce good players, maybe because i wasn't enough focusing on that. I don't know why but i find it harder now to train and have good players

I'm, unlike you, competing and trying to do as good as possible in all the Uxx leagues. Thus I have to focus on that :)
