Update request for CREW!

Badge image
Hi Crew, longtime member here. Love the Youth Update Tool but with this update can you add more coloured flags, maybe 2 more? and maybe increase the notes section for each player? Need space to write without it scrolling.

For the flags we have red, green, yellow, can you add can you add 2 more flags and we can pick the colours? or just add 2 more flags like blue and pink or purple?

I would definitely need at least 1 more flag 'cause I like colors!

Re: Update request for CREW!

Out of curiosity, what would you be using the extra flag for?

Re: Update request for CREW!

Waving 😉

Re: Update request for CREW!

It would be to get a quick visualisation of the high and low and maxed and still training, instead of clicking on the scout report all the time for each player... Also not sure if the scout report disappears when the players are no longer youths, so with the notes section I can see everything I need within MZ and don't need extra files to maintain... extra 2 flags would be all one would need I suppose.

Re: Update request for CREW!

So 2 extra flags (5 total) and a slightly bigger notes section is the request.

I would like to keep using the flags as until now, meaning:
- red = maxings
- green = not maxed (>4@)
- yellow = skills of high potential (previously the skills chosen in YTC)
+ blue/purple = low skills (as given by the new scout)
- black = for Dad to wave at competition (I would have suggested white but white on grey background seems a silly idea).

So at least one would be useful, imo. Thanks for caring! 😉

Will this be implemented?

Not that I think more flags wouldn't be helpful but I altered my use of flags to be:

Red - maxed skills
Yellow - skills noted as low potential
Green - skills noted as high potential

If there's no red flag I know that those skills aren't maxed yet.

Only place I ran into some difficulty was players who had both the new youth report and skills which had previously been identified through the old YTC or youth potential report.

I like that system- simple but makes sense

I see your point. I also like it simple.
But how do you know which player is 2HP, 3HP and 4HP?
Also, how do you know which is 1LP and which is 2LP?

I made a more complicated system, but it works for me and for those who followed it.

Yellow means HP
Green means not maxed
Red means LP or maxed

Y = 4HP - no need for Green Flag, because you already know it will become a 9 or 10.
Y+G = Green 3HP
Y+G+R = Green 2HP i.e. even though it's an HP, it's a low HP, probably an 8
Y+R = maxed HP. It doesn't matter if it's 2HP, 3HP or 4HP.
So, in all three cases, you are reaching for the same outcome.

R = maxed or 1LP
R+G = Green 2LP or a Green 1LP above 4

I know it sound complicated, but it's not and it's very easy to see a player real potential in just a second.

I hope you find it interesting, for those who haven't found a solution to the problem.

Of course, the easiest way would be to have a 4th colour for LPs.
For e.g. Black or Blue
In this case, the colours would be very easy.
Y = HP
G = not maxed
R = maxed
B = LP

We can all agree on this one

Seems that everybody seems to like using different flags.

I keep it very simple:
Green flag = unmax
Red Flag = max
Yellow = HP or postion - if scout report dosen't give certain positional skills, than it may be difficult to pick position, so I'll just mark only one skill(keeping, shooting, tackling, a.passing), so I know from Scout report position dosen't show, and it is easier to move player around on training field

and use notes to mark down HPs and LPs with *. For example:

When I send players to TC than I'll use ctrl+F and type in **** than I fastly find those 4 star players and send them to TC.

Not saying that everybody should use my system, not even trying to enforce or push my tagging on to everyone else, but just to show how many different ways right now peaple use their flags.

So for conclusion: For clarification some more flags, or why not even somekind of star indicators are needed, so it would be simple and understandable with everybody.

Re: Update request for CREW!

It doesn't work on Chrome or other browsers, except Mozilla Firefox, and I don't use it.

Re: Update request for CREW!

I lke it though. It would be nice to have it on site.
Yes, it's very useful.

MZExtension works on Tampermonkey or Violentmonkey.

It's available for Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari, Opera Next, Firefox, Vivaldi, and More Chromium based browsers.

I don't know what to say. There's a difference on Android. The only browser it worked was Firefox.
There is no secret in the fact that less and less people use PC Desktops or Laptops.
I'm still hoping for an MZ App compatible with extensions like this one, which I find very useful.

Also, I was hoping for digit skills, for e.g. 8.9 or 7.8 etc. and lose the progression bars.
This would immply that Overall skills are affected this way. For e.g. 8.9+7.8=16.7 comparing with 8+7=15 and 2 conpletely useless progression bars.
It's benn a decade already since I stated that we are too conservatory when it comes to MZ.
The argument of having too many changes = the impossibilty of having long term management plans doesn't stand.
Without updating the MZ to the user's needs, MZ will soon become a dinosaur waiting to be extinct.
