Weirdest youth ever

Badge image
Hayden Pulliam

Age: 43

He gained his 4th in BC with one training bar so I assume he's maxed in that one just like he is with the other three. He trains like a madman and he's the first 10er youth I've had since rejoining MZ but the rest of his maxings means there's no future for him unless he somehow gets to 10 in keeping. At least he'll still be useful in the Youth Tour cup.

Feel free to tell any stories you guys have with weird youths, or just ignore me, I just wanted to share/vent

Too many to mention. I had 3 10 ball keepers come through recently, but otherwise things have been lean for about 2 years

Id never get anyone like that. would have swapped him out the second he maxed in speed or BC. possibly tackl depending on which order they maxed. Very few of my youth ever graduate.

In my 8 years of MZ I've never had a youth surpass 7 keeping.

I'm with grinner on this one. The moment they max, swap with no regrets.

In the last couple of seasons I think I have swapped over 30 youths. I am now at 48 (close to the accomplishment of 50). As soon as they max below 6 speed or 5 stamina, they are swapped. As soon as they max below 8 keeping, they are swapped. As soon as they max early in a main skill (7 or such), they are swapped. Generally, they are swapped because many of them are simply... (s)crap!

Sometimes it is wise to keep players with large amounts of balls but one painful maxing for U18 competitions. Also, one painful maxing does not mean that a player is instantly useless.

Although, I do have to say, I let atleast 2-3 ex youths who have turned 19 go at the start of every season. Not particularly good business from my side

Forgot you can transfer out 2nd/3rd year youths too, still used to the old system of selling off crap ones the day they graduate
