Is it possible to win against superior opponent?

[i]I used up my scout matches to find a way to defeat a team one league up from my team but all of them ended badly for my team. How can I beat that team? I tried different tactics, wings or passes long ball, changed players' positions but nothing in the end[/i]. [b]As far as I've learnt there are 3 things to take into consideration for th SIM; Players' quality, Tactics and LUCK.[/b] [u] Some managers say that LUCK has over %50 value in this SIM, then comes P. quality and then tactics, do you agree?[/u] Where can I find a detailed informationn about what to do in a certain tactic, how to place players, Is seven stamina or speed enough for any position? I know it is manager's duty to find those but is experienced managers want to share some information, I will be happy. It's very possible to win against a superior opponent, as a matter of fact is just too easy and that's the main problem with this SIM as most of the times the price tag you have to pay for players on the market is hardly justified when you can achieve similar results with average joes. Anyway, 7 speed is fine for midfielders & strikers, even 6 speed if the other skills are really good should be enough, but 7 stamina is too little unless you're planning on subbing the player sometime during 2nd half.It's very possible to win against a superior opponent, as a matter of fact is just too easy and that's the main problem with this SIM as most of the times the price tag you have to pay for players on the market is hardly justified when you can achieve similar results with average joes.

I can beat darkline once every 'blue moon'...so I always ask myself 'is he so lucky' or does players and tactics really have a lot to do with it?? Seriously, I value speed a little more than 6...6 speed might work for players that are loaded with other skills but as a rule of thumb I won't settle for anything less than 8 speed. Seriously, I value speed a little more than 6...6 speed might work for players that are loaded with other skills but as a rule of thumb I won't settle for anything less than 8 speed.

I think PI multiples other skiils. If a player has 9 speed, control, shooting and stamina he needs to have 7+ PI to fully benefit from other skills, this is my opinion, do you agree?

Speed is really debatable, I know a top team with a 6 speed/9 stamina/10 shooting & heading and the guy is a scoring machine, the slower speed even seems to work to the player's advantage as he arrives just in time to head the ball instead of having to wait there standing for the cross to arrive.
