As I noticed, a lot of National Teams don't have a coach and a small chance to get one in the next future ( in January or July 2018). As an inactive National Team, countries shouldn't get points or shouldn't be in an official ranking. It is unfair for countries which are very active with friendlies, official qualification matches and World Cup tournaments.
Just for an example, I don't think that country "A" is better than country "B" just because it has more active managers.
As hockey Canada NT coach, and as manager for more than 6 years, I made my own statistics and I noticed that our country doesn't have a chance to get in top 10 in the world just because we have less managers than other countries weaker and less active.
I would suggest managerzone staff to change the pointing system to an easier one to understand and I would have at least 2 new systems that would work much better:
1. Starting from zero points. Each country should get 3 points for win, 1 point for draw and 0 p for a lost match when NT is playing a friendly match.
Also each country should get 10 points( or 9p...8p..for eg) for each official cup win or draw.
This would encourage active NT coaches to play friendly matches more often and play more than just cups, qualification matches
2. Restarting from scratch and pointing the countries respecting the actual ranking. What I mean is, 1. Sweden should get 100p ( because 100 countries in the ranking), Poland 99p, Argentina 98p.... last country 0p. It's just an example.
After studying the FIFA and IIHF pointing system, I think that it would be fair that all countries should have a chance to get high in the top, if they win a game on ice or on the pitch and not just because the numbers of active managers in a certain country.
