Hidden Experience Attribute?

Is there anything like a hidden experience attribute in hockey? Is it stupid to start replacing seniors with ex-youths in the main tactic, as soon as they lok good enough? I don't believe so. The old players are better because they have normally more pucks.. A player with 24 years old can be as good as one with 31 for instanceI don't believe so.
