Selection of Captain, Free Kick Takers and Penalty Takers

Hi. Yes me again. :D Earlier I was setting up some new tactics as I've purchased a couple of new players (maybe another couple to come if I'm successful) and was setting up the captain, free kick taker(s), penalty taker(s) and realised I wasn't sure which would be the best players for this. So far I've put my most experienced player with high game realisation or whatever it's called as Captain; Highest scoring, ball control and set piece player for penalties and free kicks but I wanted to double-check to see if I was doing it right and making the best choices so I read the beginner's guide and manual again as carefully as I could but whilst there's lot of info about setting up tactics and teams in general, I can't find anything to do with this at all! Is it me or is this useful information really not there? Same with the other tabs for setting up alternative things at certain times and under certain circumstances etc. I pretty much sussed it out on my own (or at least the basics) because I play another similar game (SundayLeague) where you can also set up what they call advanced tactics so it seems pretty similar but I'm really surprised there doesn't seem to be mention of these things. As I say, if I'm mistaken and it is, then I stand to be corrected and hopefully some kind soul can give me the link(s) to find it please? :) Thanks, NickHi. Yes me again. :D

The captaincy doesn't matter at all - it is not taken into account in the sim. The free kick / penalty takers you got it right. I usually use my best striker / set play combo for the penalties and now I use best aerial passing / set plays for free kicks. Some free kicks are in shooting position so it's not a bad idea to use a shooter in this case either. I personally wish they'd group penalties with shooting set plays and then have long set plays and corners in a secondary category.The captaincy doesn't matter at all - it is not taken into account in the sim.
