At Apollo Wachtebeke, we not only participate in the game as a club that wants to win the cup or wants to make progression, we also participate in the community of ManagerZone. And of course, we are always keen to bring up ideas to make the game even more fun. But experience taught us that it's not easy to bring these ideas up on the forum, because managers barely give response in that part of the forum. So I thought, let's tag the official page of Managerzone in here too, maybe we could get some more reaction that way.
I was thinking of upgrading the flash card of players, the player file (I don't know how to put it in English), the profile of each player individually. The statistics page has already been updated, and it's great, but I think it could go further. I would like to see every bit of every player in the game registered, as you can see it on Wikipedia. As you can see in this picture, the example (Erwin-Alexander Deckkers, targetstriker), I have edited a few thing...
For instance, the country flag (nationality) has been put next to the player's name, as I think everyone knows what country each flag stands for. If that's not the case, it could easily be taken care off by making it possible to hover over the flag of course (I guess that's already the case). This gives us more space to put in the (my) brand new feature: carreer summary. I think a lot of things that can be put in here, I have already put in; average score, how many times MVP, how many times player of the season (Golden Boot) and in which division, how many official competition caps and how many caps in the NT.
The green arrow has been added, and it stands for assists. I think this is almost as important as the goals scored. So it NEEDS to be in there. Then of course, I have left this season's summary untouched (except for the added green arrow). Maybe the average score etc. could be added there too.
I have put the number on the shorts too, but that's really just a visual aspect.
You'll see I have replaced the rest of the things that were on the left side of the player to the right side. And there, last but not least, I have added the option to choose which position your player plays on. This could be displayed somewhere on the profile too, or in case that you have selected goalkeeper, you'll see that the player actually wears the goalkeeper's kit, which I think is a bit cooler. :p And maybe there could be the player's "favourite position", based on the positions that gave given him the best score, or simply the position he has had the most caps on. Like there has been the SC value, which indicated the best position for your player (winger, attacker, midfielder, defender, etc.)
There are a lot of things that could be added or improved, but those things will only be possible when the simulator etc. changes. For instance, characteristisch, qualities, the injury sensitivity, which would make every player even more unique!
That's it for my idea. It's in Dutch but I guess you'll get the point, for I have explained myself elaborately! It's a prototype, but I hope you like it anyway.
