A League and E leagues start this week. Invited teams of similar top 11 values from Canada and Mexico to round out the groups. Numbers are close for B and C leagues so those will hopefully be starting soon as well.

Here are the S53 MZUSA friendly league tables. This season the tiers were revamped to contain teams of similar top eleven values. In order to fill all tiers we have opened the leagues to other countries from the region. This also brought in some new competition which hopefully can revitalize the leagues.

Information:

The FLF (Federação Lusa de Futebol) is promoting a World Tournament with all Federations who are interested in participating.
The first eight federations to sign up will be selected .
Each federation will indicate 16 teams .
The Tournament will be played in the format of Friendly League . We will have 8 groups of 16 teams . The first four teams will pass to the next level with 32 teams .
These 32 teams will be divided into two groups of 16 teams each .
Finally the best eight teams of each group will join in the last group with 16 teams..
All games are played in two rounds .
The Federations should indicate their interest in participating in the FLF Forum ( Portugal ) .
After that each Federation will indicate which teams representing it .

Welcome back, as you can tell by the quiet around here not much happening in the MZUSA. Some forum threads are still pretty active dealing with some of the new changes. If you have any questions, definitely drop us a line and we will help out where we can. I'll put you on the list for the next round. :D

@Casino Royale...

Yeah.. my team was called Parque Rodo... i think... i actually couldn't remember so may things about this game or even now to recreate whatever my badge was at the time.

Im not the creative type guy so... not sure I want to spend too much energy trying to design something again.. the badge creation i this game sucks big time.. not sure now some guy make some really decent badges

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Oh yeah!! I thought the user name sounded familiar. I remember very well. I think you started a few months before I did, and you used to beat the crap out of my team so many times.:P Glad to have you return. The US can use some old, new managers. Contact adv41449 he might be able to help with your badge.

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Badge image
Hey Casino..... Ok changed my badge and that should do on that one...

What sucks is for some reason this game reset my profile as if i started Nov-2014.

I just signed up to those generation cups so i'm already behind on all the guys that actually started with me cause they have at least 3 seasons ahead of me.

But i'll be back up there...

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Badge image
Badge looks nice. I'll check on why the date was reset to Nov 2014...doesn't sound right unless that is the time you first returned to the game.

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Badge image
yeah.. that is the date they have as my starting up again...but i bet i logged once and never again till now

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Hey tres amigos...

When is the next round of the mzusa league starting?

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Badge image
Question for the crowd as i can find any notes that this changed since i last played..

Training field. I remember that there was a limit around 4players per pitch item and if you had more than that some players will not train.

I have 8players in passing training with a couch and they all seem to be training just fine... is that new or am i missing?

Thanks.

Coaches can train up to 5 players, players beyond that will train the skill but not get the coach benefit. If you look at your training report there will be a coach icon next to the progress circle. Those who didn't benefit from the coach will just show the progress circle. I believe there was also a change so youth coaches can train up to six players in speed and stamina but I have to go find the news on that to be sure.

Training 2.3 update

Training 2.3

Deterioration begin at the start of next Season and this has caused a flurry of activity on the Training Field!

Your Chairman has been pleading with your Head Of Youth Development to further improve the coaching standard at your Youth Academy. As a result of pleading and the threat to release the Club karaoke night video if they do not help, your Coaches have agreed with the following:

Coaches on the Youth Training Field will now train additional Youth Players per Coach, depending on the sport.
6 in Football (up from 5)
9 in Hockey (up from 7)

An increase in the number of Free Youth Camps places:
4 in Football (up from 3)
5 in Hockey (up from 3)

An increase in the number of Youth Conditioning Camp places:
6 in Football (up from 5)
8 in Hockey (up from 7)

These changes will come into effect at the start of Season 54/46!

So the youth training field coaches can coach up to 6 players.

As to the next round of MZUSA friendly leagues, invites will start going out over the season break. If there is a bonus over the break we may also have another cup to capture that. There is an open Friendly Cup available, still accepting teams. MZUSA Season 54/55 Cup or something like that.

Hey Casino... Nice to see you in the MLS league... how long have you managed to be in there?

I remember that it is a real challenge to stay in the top division....Not sure if with the changes made to the system that has gotten easier or not.

Re: MZUSA Federation #14

Think I been in MLS for about 5/6 seasons...really haven't been counting. Best I have accomplished is 3rd in one season. It really is a challenge...now even more so with the early retirements and deteriorations.

Hello everyone, I just set up a U23 FL to help capture the season break bonus. We can have additional FL if folks are interested. For this one I sent invites to everyone in the federation. If it fills fast and there is still interest I can send invites for a second and pull out those folks who already joined the first. Let me know.

We have set up two friendly leagues to capture the Anniversary Bonus. One is a u21 FL which currently has 7 teams signed up and the other is a u23 FL which currently has 10 teams sign up.

CREW is also providing a free friendly cup for most Federations. Ours will be U18. Please watch for your invite or watch your fixtures list and be sure to set the correct tactics. Thanks.

Congratulations to Atletico San Pancho on winning the abbreviated D League - seems like you can't even give a friendly league away some days.

On a different note: the Crew are asking your Zone reporters to begin collecting the stories of your legendary players. Do you have someone (retired or active) with an astonishing tale to tell? Give us his story and he will be put into the mix of candidates for the final USA Legendary squad.

My bad, we are only looking for the stories of retired players.

Do you have a player who was both a star for you and the national team? A player who dominates the scoring records for your club? A player with an incredibly interesting story which cold make him an MZ Legend?

For example:

Although Shannon Craven never starred (or even played) on the National Team at any level, he proved stellar for his club. Shannon came to the first squad by way of the youth academy and played 19 seasons with the starters. He scored 361 league goals and many uncounted more for the club in various competitions. He was the clubs top scorer in 5 of his 19 seasons. He played ferociously, suffering 4 concussions and a fractured collarbone over the years on top of many muscle strains and contusions. As his career progressed and he saw his speed beginning to decline, he moved from primary striker, to supporting forward, to attacking midfield. His focus shifted from providing the goals to providing the final pass to assist his teammates in succeeding because he never put himself before the club. For that he will always be honored and remembered by fellow players, the fans and management.

And even after retiring, he felt he still had more to give and asked to join the club's coaching ranks to help develop the forwards and strikers and free kick takers who will continue to work towards bringing the club the glory he feels it deserves.

Dale Shook is by far the greatest legend of Casino Royale. He joined the team in May, 2011 during the Season 38 when the team name was Whittensville. It was my first season as their manager/owner, and was one of my first purchases on the market at the price of 16465 USD for a potentially good player at the age of 21. We didn't have any training graphs back then so just about every purchase was a gamble on the skill maxings. He had only about half the skills he shows now.

Anyhow, he was a very hyperactive player on the field...almost to the point of being disruptive in many of the positions he played which was mostly as Defensive Midfielder/Center Midfielder. He always wanted to be around the actions on the opposite side of his position, or too far forward which put him way out of position but as his speed developed, he was able to recover quickly. For some reason I saw something in him and kept hanging on to him. As it turn out he was with my team for 14 seasons, and was instrumental in Casino Royale making it to the MLS by being a wrecking crew in controlling the middle of the field and making excellent passes forward which resulted in assists for goals. Never was worthy of NT recognition but it was a very sad day in Casino Royale when he retired at the ripe old age of 34.

So the tiered leagues have taken a break this season, but we do have a U23 Friendly League set up to help members get half way to the Winter bonus if they opt for the friendly league route.

I'm also willing to accept friendlies from those trying to go the free route to get the bonus. Happy Holidays!
