Change languagehad a scan of the rules and didn't notice anything against this, and as a result Im quite surprised we haven't got a thread going already....
anyone had any big beats recently, or won a fortune outta luck? im quite unsuccessful but every now and then get a huge winner (1200, 1500, 600, 700 and a 1650) in the past three or four years.
nowadays I play inplay, waiting til a team is 1 or two up and backing at say 1/10 with 50 quid or so, building a pot up slowly

matttombstone - 23-08-2013 16:27I've had luck betting in play, I remember watching Spurs Vs Liverpool a couple years back, and Liverpool were leading 2-1, I put £2 on Spurs to win as I just had a feeling, low and behold 3-2 win for Spurs. Came away with like £100.
The closest I have to a big pay out was in 2008, I had a 15 team accumulator over 3 days, 7 games, 7 games then 1 game the third day. First 7 came in, next 7 came in, last one was Man United Vs Derby, I had United to win, easy money right? Derby 1 - 0 Man United. £1 bet and if United won I'd have walked away with £108k. Gutted doesn't sum it up.
Otherwise, only small sums won.

jesus Christ, 108K !!!! hope you used as much money as u could afford betting against united on the third day just to get some money back. ive had no luck tonight. started day with 45, most I had was 98, now down to a 20 with 30 of bets on tomorrow

Actually yeah I've been betting for about 3 years and the previous 2 years the majority has only been on American sports such as Baseball and American football and NBA.
Thanks to some fortunate bets right before summer, it financed half of my summer vacation to Pittsburgh (where I am right now) :) was lucky to hit an 8-fold of Baseball games that gave a payout of 1200 Euros, I guess that is the biggest win for me in recent days.

dadead - 24-08-2013 16:01It's been since New Year that I haven't been betting at all, except today. I just won 50 Euros thanks to Podolski and Giroud. I was 100% confident Arsenal would win today, against Fulham, so I bet 45 Euros in a single match.
Anyway, in general I've been very unlucky with my betting. I don't know, seems like too much sh*t happening in football matches.

Most was probably £50 or so when I bet pretty heavily on Bayern to defeat Dortmund in the last CL final. That was an easy one because Bayern were insanely strong last season and I would've been so chuffed if Dortmund had won that I wouldn't have cared about the money lost ;) ...Usually I just bet against who I really want to win to take the edge off the disappointment if they lose, rather than out of any great insight or studying of form or whatever else. I had my free bet (£50 or so) on Bayern to come back from a goal down and win inside 90 minutes, that would've netted a few hundred (and been the most disappointing way for Dortmund to lose!) but unfortunately that didn't work out.
