Here is the newest place for managers from the USA to check in with each other, seek advice, discuss the game or seek encouraging words after discouraging results. Also found here can be discussions of National Cups and the national team. The national team also has its own thread in MZ Talk. Use this forum well and welcome to the community.
Below are the table for the latest round of the MZUSA Federations Friendly League series. If you'd like to join in the next round post on this thread and you will be added to the waiting list.
Sorry for the delay getting the new tables up, I could make up excuses, but I just hadn't gotten around to it until today.

Note: there is some accidental overlap between C and D Leagues. Those teams will be placed in the league where they fared better next season unless they finish in a promotion spot. In that case they would be appropriately promoted. Clear as mud, right?

Thanks for all the work you put in for the Federation, Mr. E.
Any thoughts on the Federations being proposed by the Crew? Comments from anyone welcomed.
Met my brick wall in the A League. Competitive but can't seem to get a win.

Frustrating loss in the U National Cup today. Made worse by the fact that I had accidentally sold my u23 keeper thinking I didn't have any more matches he qualified for.

Dang!!! Thats a bummer. xxU cups can be frustrating with the overlap into different season and the long delays before the start of knockout rounds.

The overlapping season's definitely contributed to my confusion. But the main reason was the lag between group and elimination phases. Hopefully, I will learn from this and check the official cups page before unloading any more players before their 24th birthday.
On an unrelated note: is anyone out there interested in contributing articles to the USA Zone. It's been inactive for a while which is a shame, but after corresponding with sir_tavo "we" are looking for 3 or 4 additional people to contribute articles and revive the USA Zone. Interested parties should contact sir_tavo at his email above.

Finally pulled out of the relegation spots in the C League. Hopefully I can stay there and avoid the embarrassment of having to find a new coordinator for it next season.

Looks like I'm doomed for relegation from the A League. My team is not up to par for that league, or my boys decided to take a mental vacation.
Same thing seems to be happening in the league, too.Edited: 15-11-2012 04:55

In the League I'm looking at relegation as well. Don't think I'm going to be able to pull enough luck to avoid relegation from both Div 2 and the C League this season. Seems the boys only have enough pluck to save us from one or the other and they've picked the friendly league.

renanvlage, welcome to the US Federation and welcome to ManagerZone. I see you've been doing a good job of keeping up with friendlies, but I would also suggest you take part in the Welcome Cups that you are eligible for, if you are still getting invites for them. These are Official Cups which are open to new managers to permit them to get a feel for the cup competitions and also to meet other managers who have started around the same time. I believe they are free to join. Have you gone through the tutorial yet? It's not the greatest read but it does introduce you to all aspects of your team and you can gain some club money and tokens by performing easy tasks.
As dowopado has said, feel free to ask if you need any guidance as there are several managers here who will readily provide any assistance we can.

Curious about how everyone is doing in their International Federations Cup. After 7 rounds I am in 8th with 3-1-3 record.

I seem to be having the same dismal luck as I am in the my league and the FL series. Sitting in tenth with a 1-0-7 record. Keeper is finally in good form so hopefully things will pick up this week.

Hello nick. Still finding time to play this dumb game, huh??? It drives me nuts everyday, or you have to be nuts to play this game. Haven't figure which way it is, yet.H

Won my second match in the International Federations Cup. Unfortunately, still in tenth.
As far as continuing to play this game, I think it's a little of both. Game can definitely drive you nuts, but being a little nuts to start with helps take the edge off. Obsessive-compulsive or highly delusional are probably the types of nuts for this game.

Hi dowo, yeah I am still here, don't think I will be going away anytime soon. Ever since I was a kid I dreamt about being a football(a.k.a soccer) manager and this game is the closest I can get to this dream. So no matter how many sims they change and what other "improvements" they make I will always be here...at least until real life allows me to.
I see that you are struggling in div.1 hope you stay up and maybe we can meet again in a season or two :)

I would be up for that. Need to start putting together a list of where folks live to start establishing regions for competitions. I'm outside of Chicago, IL.

Yea i always thought it was pretty cool, i think the winner of each conference played each other too, to see who the best team was. I'm not sure about that tho, i might be wrong.

So far Pacific and Midwest are looking slim. Enjoyed reading the old zone, definitely would like to see something similar evolve once we get it up and running again. Depending on interest, we may wind up starting with 3 division (West, Central, East) until more teams join in.

Re: MZUSA Federation #9
By darkline - 30-11-2012 12:12
Well, one of the problems is that there is no USA Zone anymore, so it's hard to make people aware of this competition or have a more active community. If anyone happens to be interested in having a go at creating a new Zone, you need to contact sir_tavo, his the guy in charge of all the Zones in the Americas.
One of the things we could do also, is contact all the people in the MZUSA league by GB and see if they'll be interested in participating in a conferences league..... it's amazing how deep the MZUSA league is, I mean, we have 4 divisions with just American Countries, that's really good considering our smallish userbase and lack of a USA Zone.
-
Re: MZUSA Federation #9
By tree_amigos - 30-11-2012 12:42
GB inquiry is a good idea.
I'm currently working on putting together a staff to relaunch the USA Zone, but am still looking for one or two more people who could commit to a monthly article - doubt we'd get it weekly again. Right now I've got myself, quazz56, and c_ronaldo said he'd be interested in providing national team updates while he is coach. Going to be hard to match the quality of the 100th issue to which maxiromamanny pasted a link, but it's a good thing to aim for.
