I really fascinated with this event. In my opinion, this edition was the best if we compare with another editions. Congrats, you have done a nice job, and well, we'll have to wait until rio 2016, and i hope that rio would be better than the previous

I personally agree that London did a fantastic job in hosting the Olympic Games despite all the worries going into it (security: transport: traffic: weather), it proved that Great Britain can fully get behind (as a nation) a fully major event. In terms of comparing 2012 to Beijing: Athens: Sydney: Atlanta: Barca and Seoul to name a few, it certainly was the best (without saying that as a person from the UK) (a poll suggested London as the best in the last 20 years)

As one of the 70,000 Gamesmakers who worked there unpaid and long shifts (the ones in the purple t-shirts and beige trousers), I cannot fault a single thing whilst I worked there.

I'm pleased that you enjoyed watching the Olympics, I can only imagine how excited it must be for you to enjoy the Rio Olympics in 2016. :)

At £12 Billion the London Games had no choice but to be good, but it was the competitors, games makers and supporters that made the London Olympics, everything the politicians, and those who have no connection to sport, touched went wrong, and police and armed services and others were forced to give up any hope of a summer holiday for no reward to save politicians backsides...unsung heroes!!! I dont think I will ever get my head round the opening ceremony or how the hell it cost £27 Million! As usual when politicians, cronies and hangers-on are involved wheels are greased, hands crossed with silver and brown envelopes are passed beneath tables. How much were the press paid or manipulated not to report on the 300+ arrests, the failed drug tests, the lack of timings information for the cyclists in the road race / time trial, they were quickly told to stop reporting on the empty seats, and many many other issues...freedom of speech hmmmmmm. It was without doubt a great Olympics for the achievements of the sports men and women who took part in the events but outside of the sporting events I would say it was disgustingly obscene waste of money which is needed in much more worthwhile causes, and I am sick to death of hearing about the benefits the games have brought to London, as usual the politicians, press and media focus on the 5% of the country around London and forget the 95% of the country outside the M25 and the suffering caused by the cuts to the North to pay for the benefit of the Southern few!
