The Higgs Boson

So, CERN have finally (50 years research at a cost of over 2.5 billion) announced that they have found the Higgs Boson (or god particle) which gives everything mass. At first you might think I'll file that in my 'whogivesafcuk' brain area but I've been thinking about it and I urge you to do the same and pose your thoughts here. I'll start us off.... Imagine if they can find a way to remove the Higgs Boson particle from fat people, thus solving the Obesity problem prevalent across the planet. ? Surely if the higgs boson gives everything mass and they find a way to remove it from atoms at a sub-atomic level. Then surely its only a matter of time until they build a machine safe for humans to enter that will reduce their mass??

Actually, I clearly never thought about this enough as it doesn't just lend itself to being applied to fat people. We could only be a few years away to being able to eat whatever we want and do as little as we want and every month or so pop down to the local Collider to have our bosons reduced to get our weight back down. While I agree that they have identified a new energy level, it is still only theoretical that mass comes "From" Higgs-Boson. I had assumed the post was a joke? I reckon trying to understand dark matter and it's forces and potential as a new frontier for human understanding of the universe might, just might, nudge advanced liposuction out of the way.I had assumed the post was a joke?

Ahh, but if Higgs-Boson doesn't hold mass, all this weight-loss debate would be for naught. Besides, wouldn't it be easier to remove the mass from the food before you ate it? Or would that ruin the consistency of the meal? Personally, I need something to remove this mass from my neighbor's front porch. It sits there all night long, stinking of stale beer and cigarette butts, loudly boasting and hollering to all within earshot and then some, about useless crap, like how "high" it is, how much it's going to drink, how funny that one episode of "Fart Brother's" is, etc. etc.Ahh, but if Higgs-Boson doesn't hold mass, all this weight-loss debate would be for naught.

Oh, that's how you do it then. I always assumed your mom just got too chaffed in the legs to continue, and had to come home on her own to apply ointment for the night. I doubt that will help with the neighbor kids, but I'll give it a try once. It is quite possible your mother will be there.

Oh contrar-monfrare, I saw an animal holding the balloon! The Malthus school never really died (it just lost alot of it's clarity due to diffusion and got really uncomfortable, haha...). You may recall a lady in the US named M. Sanger, who bought into the Eugenics and Malthusian schools. She published a few books on removing the needless people, the poor, disabled, "colored" etc. Then, she and her friends founded "Planned Parenthood" (a "family planning clinic" ie. free condoms and cheap abortion "provider") with the express cause of eliminating people she found useless. Set up shop in neighborhoods where those people lived, and even helped the government send abortion and "fertility" doctors to certain tribes, to perform abortions and hysterectomies... So, yea, it's not too far fetched to believe that there are some people dancing for this agenda. Personally, I often think all other males should be homosexual, but I admit that I don't want my kids marrying each other. So we'd need at least 4 or 5 other straight guys, but keep to your continent, 'mkay?
