Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Gus Anderson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 11th match minute, U21 Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Humberto Warneke to maneuver through the defense. 14 minutes into the game, Freddie Clement was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. U21 Scotland's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave U21 Netherlands the free kick. Freddie Clement hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gus Anderson in the 18th minute of play forced U21 Netherlands's goalkeeper Ferry Waldschmidt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, U21 Netherlands's Youri Bender got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Herman Kloppenburg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guy McRae was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by U21 Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
