Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) FFC Merainies 03's Cristián Gabrieli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save FFC Merainies 03 from getting a goal against them. In the 6th match minute, U21 Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wouter Matthijs to maneuver through the defense. Annar Bemmel kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Hendrik-Jan Niemeyer kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristián Gabrieli. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Eddy Luirink made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Niek Bemmel in the 14th minute of play. In the 16th match minute, U21 Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pascal Zegeling to maneuver through the defense. In the 17th minute of the match Dirk-Jan Knuppel sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eddy Luirink skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Marco Assendelft kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristián Gabrieli. That made the score 2-0 in the 19 minute of play. In the 22nd minute Hendrik-Jan Niemeyer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristián Gabrieli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erben Spiljard made a great header on U21 Netherlands's corner, it was just that FFC Merainies 03's Cristián Gabrieli managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee felt a red card was in order, 27 minutes into the game, when Pascal Zegeling put in a rough tackle. In the 27th minute, Pascal Zegeling hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eddy Luirink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dirk-Jan Knuppel in the 29th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marco Assendelft got free with Cristián Gabrieli in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Youri Bemmel made in the 32nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by U21 Netherlands's Wouter Matthijs. If Marco Assendelft had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marco Assendelft took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristián Gabrieli. Cristián Gabrieli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Cristián Gabrieli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marco Assendelft in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd match minute, U21 Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Assendelft to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of U21 Netherlands booed when FFC Merainies 03 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Werner Staarman didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Izaak Kruit made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FFC Merainies 03's Marco Willemsen got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Erben Spiljard sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cristián Gabrieli skillfully saved the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Youri Bemmel in the 55th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by U21 Netherlands's Wouter Matthijs. Eddy Luirink showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Werner Staarman in the 58th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Marco Assendelft's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristián Gabrieli was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. In the 62nd minute of the match, Werner Staarman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Eddy Luirink saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 68 minutes into the match, Werner Staarman dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eddy Luirink, 3-2. Erben Spiljard made a great header on U21 Netherlands's corner, it was just that FFC Merainies 03's Cristián Gabrieli managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristián Gabrieli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Robert Collen went, in the 85th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-2 was the resulting score. After 91 minutes of play, FFC Merainies 03's Izaak Kruit made it 4-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eddy Luirink was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 95 played minutes FFC Merainies 03 got a freekick which was hit by Werner Staarman. Many of FFC Merainies 03's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. FFC Merainies 03 may have spent more time on the ball, but U21 Netherlands were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
