Seating: 2369, VIP seats: 206) Jasper Pinksteren made the kick off and thus started the match. Rob Huizen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Uwe Baecker in the 6th minute of the match. In the 6th minute Uwe Baecker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rob Huizen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When U21 Switzerland's Uwe Baecker in the 7th minute got a chance for a shot 7th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye U21 Netherlands's goalie prevented a goal. In the 9th minute, Silvan Jerzinger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. U21 Netherlands's Sjoerd Lindenbergh shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 10th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Rambo Rambo but with some difficulty. Rob Huizen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Uwe Baecker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Jasper Pinksteren managed to get in a good position for a shot. U21 Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Jasper Pinksteren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rambo Rambo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Kurt Hartlief fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick.
