After a rather tough play, Estudiantes de Caseros's Angel Sauveur got a free kick in the 4th minute. In the 5th minute, Estudiantes de Caseros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gavino Moise fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Domenec in the 7th minute of play forced TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s goalkeeper Dante Xacintu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Eloy Nesor fell near the penalty area in the 9th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Estudiantes de Caseros's protests and gave Eloy Nesor a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, one of Estudiantes de Caseros:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Estudiantes de Caseros. 13 minutes into the match, Estudiantes de Caseros's goalkeeper Cosme Leizarraga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Filomeno Santana. Vinicio Ignatius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dante Xacintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After recieving a nice pass, Estudiantes de Caseros's Angel Sauveur tried to score from far away in the 27th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. If Vinicio Ignatius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emiliano Rosalio hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s goalkeeper Dante Xacintu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dante Xacintu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Ignatius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s goalkeeper Dante Xacintu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Norberto Domenec. Filomeno Santana spun around in front of the goal 56 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Estudiantes de Caseros's goal. Estudiantes de Caseros's Cosme Leizarraga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavino Moise in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Estudiantes de Caseros's zone, Filomeno Santana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cosme Leizarraga came out of the goal and Filomeno Santana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosme Leizarraga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filomeno Santana's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. If Gavino Moise had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Estudiantes de Caseros's goalkeeper Cosme Leizarraga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gavino Moise's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cosme Leizarraga was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Cosme Leizarraga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filomeno Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s Filomeno Santana got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Emiliano Rosalio put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Cosme Leizarraga. The Estudiantes de Caseros fans' excitement grew in the 81st match minute when Estudiantes de Caseros's Norberto Domenec looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Lucio Pasqual scored 3-1 in the 86th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cosme Leizarraga, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Filomeno Santana's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cosme Leizarraga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Filomeno Santana notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of Estudiantes de Caseros's Cosme Leizarraga. Cosme Leizarraga was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. TEMPERLEY A.C.T.'s supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
