Spectators: 7090 (Terracing: 5446, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 144) Bahtiyar Onuktekin started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Tahsin Ekşioğlu came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the NEWROZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tahsin Ekşioğlu couldn't finish the play. Alifonso Daire recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 11th minute, Tahsin Ekşioğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 12 played minutes Giresun got a freekick which was hit by Zülfikar Bardakçıoğlu. Oğuzhan Parshan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Aktaç Bedel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Giresun's goalkeeper Aktaç Bedel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 19th minute, NEWROZ's Alifonso Daire dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. NEWROZ's Tahsin Ekşioğlu got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 23rd minute, Alifonso Daire got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tahsin Ekşioğlu struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Aktaç Bedel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NEWROZ. After a defensive mix-up in Giresun's zone, Alifonso Daire stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aktaç Bedel came out of the goal and Alifonso Daire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. NEWROZ's Tahsin Ekşioğlu was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 35th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Tahsin Ekşioğlu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alifonso Daire had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Tahsin Ekşioğlu made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, NEWROZ's Tansel Eryetiş got a free kick in the 55th minute. Aktaç Bedel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 58th minute of the match. Oğuzhan Parshan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Aktaç Bedel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of NEWROZ booed when Giresun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çağdaş Malik didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahtiyar Onuktekin in the 66th minute of play forced NEWROZ's goalkeeper Nuralp Yücesoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 66 played minutes NEWROZ got a freekick which was hit by Tansel Eryetiş. Tahsin Ekşioğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nuralp Yücesoy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cem Derman in the 78th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tahsin Ekşioğlu in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aktaç Bedel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tahsin Ekşioğlu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aktaç Bedel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Tansel Eryetiş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aktaç Bedel having to interfere. NEWROZ's attentive Egídio Vilalobos managed to snatch the ball when Mehmet Fatih Kazanhan made a throw-in in the 92nd minute of the game. Egídio Vilalobos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adem Ergalip's late challenge caught a Giresun's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adem Ergalip helped the player get up and apologised. There was no doubt that NEWROZ were the better team. NEWROZ's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
