With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dian Barus in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kris Cole saved U21 Canada from getting behind. Gilberto Stafford's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Haikal Alexander read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play.
