Group 1:
Our Irish group. Already commented in the "Irish National Team" so what can I say more? The big surprise here is the fact that France or Spain won't get the play offs. So next game is crucial France will take Spain. Spain needs a win badly otherwise see you later. Serbia, Georgia and Finland are trying hard but unfortunately no chances to be in the last 16.
Group 2
We have to say this group seemed easy for Turkey and Denmark but it's not! Denmark drew to Israel 4-4 in the last round which complicated their situation so much. Now Albania are 2nd with 2 points advantage and same amount of points as Turkey. We have 4 teams here with still chances to promote. Last round will bring the great emotions to this group! Albania vs Tukery and Denmark vs Azerbaijan.
Group 3
Netherlands destroying this group is like said nothing.. Complete domination, no-one can get near them. Already promoted. 20-1 in goals it's madness as for the national level! Our neighbour Scotland are unfortunately without any chances now to get to the play offs. It's up to Lithuania, Latvia and Slovenia who will be 2nd. I'd say Lithuania have most chances to achieve it as they play Montenegro who are very weak. But you never say never. Latvia will play Slovenia. Scotland will fight for their honor in the last game against the leader.
Group 4
Greece are best so far and they have the last 16 play offs booked now. Bulgaria, Austria and Germany are fighting to be nr 2 . Bulgaria won against Germany 3-1 but with the equal shoots. As in other group last round will be great action. Germany vs Malta and Austria vs Bulgaria. It should be easy job for Germany but they have to pray that Bulgaria lose or drew against Austria, and also Germany must have better goal difference. Austria have chances but the smallest I think. They need to win and hope Germany lost points or only win it 1-0 while Austria need to score many goals against Bulgaria to catch Germans on goal difference.
Group 5
OMG it's most complicated group so far. Even the last team has mathematical chances to qualify. No weak teams here! Every game in this group is so intense and it's hard to say who will win. Even though Romania are 1st doesn't mean they can't end up 3rd! They have to be carefull, but even a draw will give them promotion. They play Czech Republic who also wants to win and qualify (of course their chances to reach the last 16 are poor but not 0. Norway vs Iceland another crucial game the winner will qualify. Portugal vs Russia in the last round Portugal needs to win it a very high score to have any hopes, but I don't think they can finish 2nd it's not only up to them now. Russia or Portugal or Czech can only qualify if one of them win their last game with veeery high score and hope for a draw in the Norway v Iceland.
Group 6
Estonia are surprising everyone. They got 10 points in 4 games and already have the last 16 place guaranteed even though they have a pause in the last round. They won Poland 2-1 in a very tight match. Poland plays Slovakia in the last game it will be a decider! If Poland loses they won't leave the group, but draw will be enough. Nothing to lose for Slovakia they need to play ofensive football and win it . England and Macedonia without any chances.
Group 7
Ukraine won all games and they can sleep well before the last game as the promotion is sure for 100%. Croatia and Hungary will have a battle for the 2nd place. Hungary plays Belarus which souldn't be hard to win, Hungary needs to win it a high score as their goal difference is -1. Croatia have a pause in the last round as they played 4 games already. Intereting thing would happen if Hungary would win 5-0. All stats between Croatia and Hunary would be the same. Gola difference, goals scores, wins, game between them was 1-1 so I think the random draw would decide who will be 2nd. But that's only speculations and we will see what happens. Hungary needs a very high score to be 2nd. Moldova and Belarus without any chances.
Group 8
Italy, Sweden and Belgium are fighting toe to toe to be in the play offs. Last round will decide it all. Italy won all 3 games but still they can't be 100% sure. Well they probably are 99% sure as last game against Luxembourg should be easy don;t think they can lose here. Sweden and Belgium will be the game of the group. Draw will give the promotion to Sweden, so Belgium have nothing to defend they need to take a risk and try to win! Very poor tournament for Switzerland who were meant to do a bit better than this... Luxembourg as expected no chances at all.
