FLOODISH FC SEASON 73 CHAMPIONS
Has there ever been a season like it? The British and Irish
Super League went right down to the very last game and the top two were
separated by one goal! One single goal! After the third season of the BISL we
now have our first champion coming from Scotland. Duncan McGibbon’s men walked
off with the top prize beating KS Gornik Walbrzych on goal difference! Not that
Duncan will care how close it was. Floodish are now in that elite bracket of
British and Irish football, joining 1948 MKS and Toilet Seat! Lucas will be
sore, and I would imagine very determined next season to try on lift the top
prize.
In 3rd spot we have former champions 1948, as a
club they have accumulated the most points in the BISL in the last 3 seasons.
Right behind them was another Irish club Malinowe Nosy
finishing the season with 70 points, only one behind 1948MKS.
The top four were very dominant compared to the remaining 12
teams!
In 5th place and 14 points behind 4th
was English giants DS Milan. They won a total of 18 games out of 30 and picked
up 56 points.
Jon’s Willingale Hotspur for the English League 1.1 finished
an impressive 6th place. For a second tier team this is an
outstanding achievement!
Manchester Devils finished just behind D1.1 rivals Willingale
with 48 points.
In 8th place and making up the top half of the
table is The North Face, the SPL club played some decent football and Im sure
Andy will be happy with his team’s performance.
Wayne’s world did not rock as his D1.1 team could not keep
up with his rivals. The Foxes Academy picked up 45 points.
English D1.3 side Stickleback City finished in 10th
place and only 3 points, probably 4 points due to goal difference from the 8th
spot.
The table now takes a turn to the strugglers. The teams that
have had to fight for every single point. SPL team Alness AFC finished in 11th
with 27 points.
GISB Rammstein finished in 12th place with 23
points.
Former Champions and EPL side Toilet Seat finished the
season up in 13th place. A big swing, however, was expected due to
the sell up and start of a rebuild.
Right behind them was the mighty Muir United. Brian had a aim
of 12th place and failed. 4 more points and life would have been
bliss! The only light at the end of the tunnel is that we finished ahead of
bitter rivals Monty Galaxy!
English D1.2 side White Eagles avoided the wooden spoon.
However, the still had a very worrying goal difffrence of -155.
Lisa’s Monty Galaxy props up the table. Needless to say she
has went off and wasted a load of cash on some has being players and ready to
prop up season 74! J
