Seating: 236, VIP seats: 20) Ecuador's Juan-Angel Ybarra started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Saif Al Bahar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saudi Arabia's supporters rose to their feet, but Saif Al Bahar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Oso Naveira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 6th minute Juan-Angel Ybarra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zaher Baroun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 7 minutes into the game, Ecuador's Juan-Angel Ybarra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zaher Baroun made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ramirez Salinas in the 9th minute of play forced Saudi Arabia's goalkeeper Zaher Baroun to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaher Baroun took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan-Angel Ybarra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Juan-Angel Ybarra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zaher Baroun was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Juan-Angel Ybarra sped through Saudi Arabia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Zaher Baroun. 17 minutes into the match, Juan-Angel Ybarra notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Saudi Arabia's Zaher Baroun. Zaher Baroun was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Saudi Arabia's Omar Al Asuosi got a free kick in the 20th minute. In the 20th minute of the match José-Francisco Durazno sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zaher Baroun skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Osorio Adrales managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Osorio Adrales was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zaher Baroun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Juan-Angel Ybarra came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Juan-Angel Ybarra couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Juan-Angel Ybarra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zaher Baroun was relentless in the 34th minute of the game. 35 minutes into the game, Juan-Angel Ybarra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Zaher Baroun was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Mendez Urquizu got a free kick in the 38th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Omar Al Asuosi during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th minute, Omar Al Asuosi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Saudi Arabia's goal looked a bit too open when José-Francisco Durazno came free, but Zaher Baroun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.
The wind increased when Rashed Al Hadhod made the kick off in the second half. Saudi Arabia's Zaher Baroun proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Saudi Arabia from getting a goal against them. In the 52ndth minute of the game Juan-Angel Ybarra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Saudi Arabia's Zaher Baroun was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Juan-Angel Ybarra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zaher Baroun having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Ricardo Cordoba got a free kick in the 55th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ramirez Salinas got free with Zaher Baroun in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ramirez Salinass short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Zaher Baroun to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tercero Vital blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zaher Baroun having to make a save. 60 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Ecuador's Juan-Angel Ybarra fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Saudi Arabia's Meshal Shams quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Mendez Urquizu, made in the 63rd minute of the game. After 65 minutes, Juan-Angel Ybarra made it 0-6 with a short kick to the right side. Saudi Arabia's Zaher Baroun tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Ramirez Salinas came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Zaher Baroun could save by the left post. Juan-Angel Ybarra in the 70thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zaher Baroun, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ecuador's Zilar Aleson was substituted for Juan-Angel Ybarra. In the 80th minute, Ecuador's Ximenez Gort dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-8. Saudi Arabia's Rajab Al Sohali was substituted for Rashed Al Hadhod. Volkan Metehan hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Ximenez Gort scored 0-10 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zaher Baroun, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Ximenez Gort had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Zaher Baroun. Saudi Arabia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ximenez Gort was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-11. The Saudi Arabia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ecuador's performance. The match ended with a win for Ecuador.
